Who are your favorite authors?

Chris Pavone I read widely, and I get satisfaction out of many different types of writing, but if I'm not really loving a book within the first few pages, I almost always quit it very quickly, often on page 1. Life is short, and there's a lot to read. So I finish only those books that I think are offering me something I want. If I do get to the end of a book, it's usually because I loved it. In the past month I've loved a relatively new book by Roger Hobbes, an old one by Lee Child, and a forthcoming novel by Lisa Lutz. All terrific.
