Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

M.L. Candelario The fantasy novella that I'm about to publish was originally conceived as a backstory for a character I made in a DnD campaign. Eventually I made my own world, my own races, etc. I realized that I liked the character a lot and wanted to write about what made him tick, and this led to the creation of the Unblooded series.
