Goodreads asked Lindsey Iler:

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Lindsey Iler Write. Write. Write.

Write when you don't want to.
Write through the block.
Write even when only garbage comes out. (Trust me, it happens. I've deleted chapters upon chapters of work because it settles in and ends up being just a complete hot mess)

Read as well, please don't forget to read. Read books in your genre and out of yours to see what you feel works and what doesn't.

Don't EVER try to be the next "insert Authors name here"....be authentic and true to what you write. It's okay to admire and look up to someone, but never try to compare your success/failures to them. It never turns out well.
