Thank you for the Galway Murders series. I greatly enjoy the books and the places you take us to around Connemara and Co Galway. What is your inspiration for Fiona? She's quite a unique character.

I liked the protagonist in the TV series Happy Valley and I wanted someone like her, hard boiled and feisty. I have no idea why I made her a lesbian, I think it was because I wanted her to have a traumatic background and I didn't want to write about family life. I'm a pantser so half the time I have no idea where characters and story are going. I may not have answered your question but the process is organic.

No question just a comment (with obligatory question mark)? Started back on the Wilson series recently after a couple of year's hiatus from reading the first five or six. Really enjoying them. Thank you, you are a really good writer and I hope you're making decent money from the Wilson series.
