Goodreads asked T.R. Wallace:

How do you get inspired to write?

T.R. Wallace Inspiration for me depends on what I am doing. The Shadow War books came as a result of the 911 attack, and what I imagined as a way to counteract the terror threats to come. In the second Shadow War book, Deadly contact, the leader of the terrorists was taken down in much the same way as Bin laden, and published just a few months before Bin Laden was taken. Fiction becoming fact.
The inspiration for the Beckoning West books was my own love for the west and wild places and my own family connections to some of that history. I love history and historical fiction was a treat to write as well as research.
Everything else is just whatever pops into my mind, and after a little sorting and polishing sometimes becomes a story idea. Thank you for your question.
