I have a friend who loves the Vorkosigan Saga, and persuaded me to start it, and I've also fallen in love with it. She's got a birthday in September, and I would love to get her a personalized signed copy of a her favorite book in the series. Do you do anything like that? I would be happy to send you the book with postage paid for the return journey. If this is possible, I can be contacted at josh.charles@gmail.com

As a general answer to a specific question, no, I don't attempt to handle books sent by readers through the mail anymore. (So many problems and hassles, including lost-in-the-mail hazards, etc.) However, anyone who wants to purchase a signed, personalized copy of any of my books in print can order them from Uncle Hugo's Science Fiction Bookstore here in Minneapolis, and they will be shipped from the store.

Great folks at Hugo's, an indie bookstore well worth supporting. They'll be glad to help you out.

Moments of Comfort and Revelation. Aral and Cordelia's reunion at the end of Shards. Miles' introspection in Memory. Harra’s adamantium like wisdom. Miles' letter to Kat in Civil Affair. Most of Cordelia's Betan chats with Aral, Miles and Mark. I just wanted to thank you for these while I had a chance. Question mark?

Was there a particular catalyst for turning Ivan from something of a joke (though always a likable/endearing one. Maybe sidekick is a better term) into a hero? I feel that he becomes an aspiration character at the limo fight scene in A Civil Campaign, possibly specifically with the "Vorpatril House" at the end of chapter 17.
