Norman Styers asked Kirby Lee Davis:

Got your book yesterday - thanks for thinking of me. I've added it to my list & will do a review when I've read it (although I've heard many reviewers don't bother with the actual reading). I've had trouble getting reviews on Amazon before for friends' books - at one point, if you hadn't bought a copy from Amazon, they wouldn't let you review it - but surely by now that's fixed. How many volumes do you plan?

Kirby Lee Davis Three volumes: "Wondrous Grace," "Love Songs," and "I Stand Amazed." Volume 1 made its debut almost five weeks ago, reaching the No. 6 position on its best-performing Amazon sales chart in week 1. It then started bouncing around in a yo-yo pattern, resting now at No. 90. That sounds impressive, and it's fun to talk about having a national bestseller, but in poetry categories limited to books, it was not that hard. "Love Songs" came out late Saturday, but Amazon didn't provide its sales results until Tuesday. It then reached No. 22 in the same poetry category; it now stands at No. 30. "I Stand Amazed" is scheduled to come out in July. I believe Amazon retains its hurdles for reviewers, seeking to weed out the fake praises and attacks. But goodreads.com remains open to reviewers.
