How exactly did the car accident happen? Because I believe they said that the other car didn't actually veer into their lane, so this means that Charlie completely veered into their lane? From the description it sounds like Charlie just jerked the wheel one way and then the other. It's hard to believe he wouldn't have been found at fault for this, but maybe the AI system should have kicked in and over taken control?

If left alone, presumably the AI car would have self-corrected to avoid a collision even if the other car went left of center (which was never confirmed.) The courts would find the AI culpable.(less)
