Hi Terrence, I'm wanting to reach out in regards to getting more information on Pablo Acosta? I just finished your book Drug Lord and thought it was amazing. My main motivation is I could be kin to him. My father grew up in Presidio where my grandfather was a town official. I took a recent trip to the entire area. The book perfectly ties together all stories my dad would tell. Shoot me a PM. Cheers!

Hello Drew: An apology for the delay in replying to your question. I haven't been on Goodreads for several months and only saw your request for information about Pablo Acosta just now.
It's quite possible you have a family connection to him. A genealogical study would throw light on that. There really isn't anything more I can say about him that wasn't revealed in the book. He was certainly a larger-than-life character, and it was quite an experience spending two days with him. My book about him will secure his place in the regional history.
The real purpose of the Drug Lord book was to show how things worked in Mexico. I saw Ojinaga as a microcosm. Expand it outward, and you get the macrocosm.
