Hi Mr Brown! I recently read Book of Doors and today I just started reading your new book! I gave TBoD 5 stars so am excited about this one. One or the other is probably going to be my favorite book this year (TBoD is so far!) I just turned 17 and was wondering what kind of books were your favorite when you were my age? (I always love getting recommendations from authors I love). Also, are you working on a new book?
Gareth Brown
Hi Caleb - thank you for reading my books! So pleased that you enjoyed them. When I was your age I was reading a lot horror fiction. Authors like Stephen King, Robert R McCammon, James Herbert, Ramsey Campbell and Peter Straub. I also started to read a lot of commercial thrillers at that age, as well as literature classics (I did a literature degree at University). Basically I think read whatever you want but try to read widely. And yes - I am working on a new book right now!

I think there is a plot hole in the "The Society of Unknowable Objects".
While reading the entry for the Atlas of Lost Items, you explain that the wording was very careful so as to not show the pendant, since Frank didn't know about it. This also explains why items show and disappear on the map.
However, since Frank has the Book and can read about all the artifacts, he (=the society) knows about all of them?

I demand to know how I get a copy of The Book of Doors! Let’s be clear, not “The Book of Doors”, but the ACTUAL Book Of Doors. No need to tell me the actual book does not exist – We all know it does! Where is it? Best of luck to you on the upcoming publication! Fantastic read!
