Barbara Agee asked Tom Threadgill:

Hey Tom, In your book, Coming of Winter, I love how you used a real county and towns in Tennessee! I had to start Chapter 5 over twice to make sure I heard it correctly, (on audiobooks). I am from that small county and wondered how it came to be in your book? So much of the hardships you wrote about being a farmer are so true. I’m looking forward to reading more of the Jeremy Winter series.

Tom Threadgill Hi, Barbara. We grew up in Memphis but lived in Evansville for a very short time. One weekend decades ago, we were driving to Memphis to visit our family and I got a speeding ticket in Troy. I misread the ticket and thought the officer's name was "Troy Obion." My wife and I have laughed about it ever since. That's how he ended up in the book. You're now one of the few who know that background! :-)
