How do you get inspired to write?

Amythyst Raine I get my inspiration from daily life. I've often heard that there are writers out there who never leave home without a notebook and a pen. When inspiration hits in whatever way, I jot it down. You think you're going to remember this great idea, or this synchronistic clue the universe is sending you, but you won't! Inspiration can be as fleeting as a dream. A writer can pick up inspiration from anything that touches their life and leaves some kind of indelible mark on their soul...a sunset, their children, a beloved pet, a random comment from a stranger at the store...life is continually sending you all kinds of wonderful unique signals in a million ways, it's just a matter of learning to be aware of them.
