Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Mary Sneddon I grew up reading fantasy and I'm a sucker for romance. When I'm in bed at night waiting to fall asleep the way I calm my mind is to tell myself little stories. I don't usually write them down as they never get very fully formed. I loved the idea of someone getting kidnapped, but discovering it's to save them because something worse is coming. I wanted a romance where the pair initially disliked each other but grew to love and respect. So The Seamstress and the Sable Knight was born.
