I've just started writing 'Book 1' of a new series which is set in the same world as The Longsword Chronicles but whose events take place eighteen years after "Worms' Ending" (Book 8).
The new series doesn't have a title yet, nor does 'Book 1' itself, but readers who've followed The Longsword Chronicles through to the end of Book 8 will readily understand the significance of the eighteen year jump (trying to avoid spoilers here for those who may have only recently started the first series).
