Idk if you got my question so I’m going to ask again. What mental health challenges does Bobby deal with during the series? As a traveler do they really have mental health issues? What was he dealing with by books eight and nine that made him so impulsive and crazy? Bobby always seemed like a smart kid so for him to suddenly make super rash decisions made me wonder. Does he have PTSD? Panic disorder? DID even?

D.J. MacHale (SPOILERS AHEAD) Well, I'm certainly not qualified to comment on whether or not Bobby suffered from PTSD, or any other mental affliction for that matter. But I did try to get into his head and imagine how the years of struggle affected him. As to whether not not a Traveler might suffer any kind of diagnose-able mental issues due to their true nature, the answer is absolutely yes. They were created to be human, and to think like humans. That was a the core of Press' plan. He wanted the Travelers to represent and behave like the inhabitants of each territory. He believed that was the way to defeat Saint Dane. It wasn't a show of might, it was the collective power and will of mankind that had to stop his autocratic rule.
