Goodreads asked Kerry Holmes:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Kerry Holmes When I hit writer's block, I try to step away from the project and clear my mind. Taking a walk or doing something totally unrelated to writing, like reading or even listening to music, often helps me refocus. Sometimes, just changing my environment—writing in a different room or heading to a café—can do wonders for creativity.

If that doesn’t work, I’ll do a quick freewriting session where I just let my thoughts spill out, even if they make no sense at first. Setting small, manageable goals like writing a single sentence or paragraph also helps me ease back into the flow. Lastly, reading something inspiring often sparks new ideas and reignites my passion for the story.
