Goodreads asked Beth Curry:

How do you get inspired to write?

Beth Curry I don’t need inspiration to write, it comes naturally to me now. Inspiration for stories strikes in the most unexpected ways. Sometimes it’s a dream, other times it’s a whimsical tale from my mother, who has dementia. I often find myself lost in thought during a treadmill session, and an idea blossoms. Once an idea takes root, I outline the beginning, middle, and end of the story, though it often evolves during the writing process. I break it down into chapters and write scene beats for each one. This structured approach helps guide my creativity, even if it’s not the conventional method.
