Michael, have you ever read the Drizzt Do'Urden series by R.A. Salvatore? I am currently cruising through them and I'm finding them to be a fun read. I see a lot of Hadrian and (post Hadrian's influence) Royce as well. I do have you to thank for getting me into the fantasy genre and look forward to your upcoming works. Josh

Hey Joshua,
I've of course heard of Drizzt and Salvatore's work - but I've not read any of them (I'm sorry to say). In general, I write books that I want to read, so if you are seeing similarities between them and my work, then there is a good chance I'll like them. Going to move them up on my to be read pile now! Thanks for the tip.

Well I would first like to gush about how much I love your books. I have read every single one. Royce and Hadrian have such a beautiful friendship and I reread the Riyria books every year. My question is - I love the cover art from the original books - The Crown Conspiracy, Avempartha. Nyphron Rising, etc- but I have only read the newer compiled sets (Theft of Swords, etc), is there any differences?

I have really enjoyed listening to your Legends of the First Empire and look forward to the 6th book coming soon! I wanted to start listening to your Riyria books and I was wondering if you could recommend which books to start with and the chronological order to follow with? You have become one of my favorite authors along with Robert Jordan, Michael Wisehart, Terry Mancour, Brandon Sanderson and R.A. Salvadore!

You have said in the past you write the entirety of a book series before you even publish the first book and that this lets you go back and add things in easier if you think of something great later. The question is, what is the latest you have gotten in writing a series when you had a brainstorm and had to go back and add something that ended up changing a lot in the series itself?
