I recently completed the final book in the Max Revere series, and I must admit I feel a sense of sadness knowing there won't be any more stories to look forward to. I sincerely hope your publisher considers the possibility of continuing this beloved series. Do you think this is a possibility are is this just wishful thinking on my end?!?!

(view spoiler)[Hi Rachael: Thank you so much for this question! I love Max Revere. She is one of the most original characters I created and I would love to continue her series. Unfortunately, my publisher cancelled it because it wasn't selling as well as my other books. I like the story arc she had because she had closure about her mother, though I think there are more stories to tell and also how she adjusts to her new role (sister, lover, more -- I write Max into the 16th Lucy Kincaid book, CUT AND RUN, and there is a bit more closure there regarding her and Ryan.) I don't see my publisher continuing the series, and I don't think another publisher would pick it up. I don't have the time and resources to self-publish books in the series -- self-publishing isn't cost-effective anymore, and I'm contracted now for 3 books a year, which is the most I can write without worrying about quality. Anyway, thank you for letting me know how much you enjoyed the series! ~ Allison (hide spoiler)]

I am a great fan of your writing. For me it's characters first, I have to like/love the characters which is why I love your books. Your bringing back characters we know from time to time is something I look forward to. That said, Lucy has always been my least liked character and now I have not read anything after her second book. My question is, if you plan on every moving on to new (or even old) characters?
