Hi Kate: I’ve thoroughly enjoyed this series and was hoping it was going to continue. You had referenced the fifth book in the Gilded Gotham series being completed in an answer to another question. I’m wondering if you could take the already completed fifth book in this series to Emily Bestler Books—the new publisher you’re using for the another series starting with “The Gallery Assistant?”

Kate Belli Hi Eva - thank you so much for your interest and your question! I think I gave the wrong impression - Gilded Gotham 5 isn't written yet, but it is outlined, so I know exactly what happens. Unfortunately, changing publishers with an existing series is a challenge. EBB has contracted me for two standalone thrillers, and I don't think historical mystery is part of their purview. There's also a complicated rights situation, so for now the Gilded Gotham world has to stay with Crooked Lane. If any of this changes (and it could!) I'd be ready to go with Book 5, so we'll see. I'm so appreciative of your enjoying the books and thinking to contact me - thank you again! :)
