Hi! I love your books The Captive Maiden, The Healer's Apprentice (etc.) and I was wondering when and if you were going to come out with some more? Thanks!
Melanie Dickerson
Hi, Lillie! Thank you! Yes, I have more books coming! After The Princess Spy, the next book in the series, which is a Rapunzel story, is The Golden Braid and it comes out in November. Then I'm planning a Little Mermaid story about Colin's parents (Ranulf and Annabel's son's story). That one should be out in the fall of 2016.
In the meantime, I have a book coming out in May, The Huntress of Thornbeck Forest, which is the first book in a new series. Yay! :-) Can't wait for everyone to read it.
Thanks for your question, Lillie!

Hi, Melanie. I've been reading recently about the pros and cos of traditional publishing versus self-publishing. To be honest the traditional publishing scares me. I've been reading a lot about losing control of your work, working on time crunches, and being unhappy with decisions that the publishing company has made. But self-publishing requires a lot of money to do everything the traditional publishers did. Help???

I absolutely LOVE your books. There is warmth and depth to your charachters that makes you want to know them. I don't always get that from every author I read and wanted to thank you for that gift. I am always trying to guess where you will draw the next story from and am anxious to read the next one before I even get the current one finished. How do you choose your next fairytale?

Hello there! I was looking for books for my sister to read, but I want the books to be appropriate. I personally haven't read any of your books, though I plan to in the future. Would you recommend your books for a young teenage girl? How "clean" would you say your books are?
