I've officially become a stalker... "shigh". Take your time making Memories of Ash as awsome as Sunbolt, I am silently rooting for yah, and stalkin you page for updates. Uh release date yet?
Intisar Khanani
LOL - so happy to meet you! I'm afraid no release date yet, but I'm starting to feel happier about how Memories of Ash is coming together. I feel like the first third of the book is now quite strong (it was the weakest part to begin with). I still have my work cut out for me, but I'm enjoying it again. Phew! It was a little worrying when every night I sat down to write felt like I was pounding my head against a wall. Now I'm just tapping it lightly. Much, much better. ;)
I promise to post more updates as I have more to tell! Hmm, maybe a teaser or two wouldn't be a bad idea either...

Was this parallel in Thorn intentional?
I've reread The Horse and His Boy by C.S. Lewis and got a headache from its anti-Middle Eastern content. Falada and Bree are similar: A talking Horse who's proud often to the point of ridiculousness, and more magnificent than regular horses, who mentors a young protagonist new to the wide world.
If intentional, the nod makes me happy, kind of a reclamation thing.

Hi! I wanted to say that I really enjoyed reading Thorn - never expected to see a rewrite, as I'd read the indie novel a long time ago, but it was a really pleasant surprise! I was wondering if we'll be seeing more of Stonemane and the Fair Folk in future stories, maybe in The Theft of Sunlight? If you can answer that :-)

just read your Thorn book, Really impressed but now also a little glum. As you stated on your site, I read with some disapointment that you would not be visiting Alyrra/ Thorn directly as a main character. As much as Rae is a work in progress, I was just wondering whether you would ever look to wrap up the loose ends directly for thorn or would you only be doing this is the future Rae books?
