I know you live in Costa Rica. Have you always lived there? If not, where did you live before and what called you to move from where you were to the Rainforests?

Hi Charlene! I was born in Indiana, and lived in the Midwest (Indiana and Ohio) until 2001, when I moved to Tampa, Florida. At the time, my day job was as a web developer.
One of my friends had a vacation home in Costa Rica that she wanted to turn into a bed and breakfast, so about twelve years ago I flew down to check it out, take photos, and create a website for her. I fell in love with Costa Rica at first sight! I came back every year and would stay as long as I could each time.
In 2012, I sold my house in Tampa and made the move to Central America permanent. I love living in the rainforest. It's beautiful and peaceful—the perfect environment for focusing on writing.

In all of your books, but especially the Dukes of War Series, you always write from an atypical female heroine perspective. Your heroines don't usually "need" a man, they "want" them. Is there a reason why your heroines are such strong-willed women when you write novels from a time period when women were usually much more meek?

Erica, I just read The Earl's Defiant Wallflower and loved it! I'm on to The Viscount's etc. and looking forward to reading The Captain's Bluestocking Mistress, but can you tell me if it will be coming out in Kindle format before Nook, or will the release of all e-formats be simultaneous? I notice we can pre-order it in Kindle but I prefer to read it on my Nook so I wonder if I should hold off.
