Useless human misery and the desire to reduce it is behind most of my writing. When we are not busy habitually setting ourselves up for suffering, joys previously unnoticed become more obvious. One of those joys is the time an energy previously spent trying to sustain fictions about the world and ourselves is liberated to discover life in new ways.
