What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Andrew Zabriskie Outline, outline, OUTLINE!! This made all the difference for me. Everyone has a story to tell, and unlike brain surgery you don't need a degree and a ton of training to tell it. That being said, I strongly believe that organization is the key. Outline any way that works for you, but do it! Once you have the framework of the story established, the creative writing takes care of itself. Otherwise, you'll just be that person with a great idea who wants to write a book someday...
