Michael asked Mac McGowan:

Not only am I thrilled with you introducing the world to Rob Mathews, it is also very nice to meet Chip Hilton through your bio. For some reason Clair Bee books never reached our small-town Indiana library bookshelves in the '60s. I would have been a fan! Are you planning on continuing Rob's story into college, or maybe "starting over" with a new character?

Mac McGowan Michael,

Thank you for reading, and I hope you enjoy the series. Yes, Chip Hilton was a "find" for me in high school, and I now have all 24 of his original books with the hardcover color art. It took me a long time to collect, and my daughter gifted me the last one (and the hardest to find) a few years ago. It's still worth reading today.

I have considered continuing with college, but I don't think I have the energy for another big series. I have a memoir of my first 12 or so years I might edit and release . . . it's more of a salute to the Golden Age of being a kid . . . something it sounds like you may have experienced as well. I have also started a more adult novel about a dying grandfather relating the story of his love life to his 20-something grandson. Kind of a Dramedy, again with a good dose of nostalgia from the 60s on up to the present time.

Thanks again for your interest!

Mac
