Lois McMaster Bujold:
One of the things I love about your books is the voices of the characters, both internal and in dialogue, which are so clear and distinct. I was wondering if you've ever written plays?
Lois McMaster Bujold
I've never written any, but I've seen quite a few. In addition to those seen earlier in my life, for several years after I moved to Minneapolis, a friend and I had season tickets to the Guthrie Theater, where we would take in 6 a year of considerable variety. In addition, I was a member of a (now defunct) play-reading group; we ran through quite a lot of Shakespeare, among other things. (Modern playwrights were more of a problem to do due to variant or unavailable editions.)
Plays (as contrasted with TV and film, in which everyone's brains are steeped) are interesting because the dialogue must carry so much more of the story-telling.

Not a question, but a comment? In Captain Vorpatril's Alliance, the engineer stated that the expressed water from the ImpSec sponge was shooting 25' straight out from the cliff before falling into the water. I see the book was published in 2012, as I checked just now. In 2014, a Red Cross briefing after the Oso Mudslide Disaster north of Seattle said that's what happened there, too -- a horizontal jet of water.

In one of Barbara Hambly’s fantasy series wizards/magic use had been outlawed/severely curtailed because the world was entering an Industrial Revolution and it's so easy for a wizard to wreck machinery for paid industrial sabotage or personal animus. Given how demons shed chaos (Otta/Atto in weaving room, sorcerers on boats), do you have any thoughts as to what may happen to sorcerers if/when the Wot5G has an IR?

Hi there, i hope you are doing well. Congrats on your amazing success. I wanted to check if you would kindly review a childrens book i've written dedicated to my late father? I would love your honest feedback and a endorsement. This is apart of my late father legacy and id really appreciate it. This is my first time ever writing a book so any support would mean alot to me. I look forward to hearing from you.
