Goodreads asked Hedonist Six:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Hedonist Six It's important to figure out what's causing me to be blocked. Am I just running out of creative steam? Or is it a specific story that's creating problems? I've found that often when I find myself sitting in front of a blank page with no idea how to proceed, it's because something in the story is not working right and I need to give my subconscious time to find a solution first.
Once I have that crucial realisation of how to fix the story, words start to flow on their own.
If I'm generally blocked, it may help to write something completely different, a rant, or a blog post, even if I don't publish it. Afterwards I tend to feel better and more receptive to working on my fiction projects.
