Just finished Romantically Challenged. I started laughing on the first page, and the story kept me laughing all the way through to the end. Great book. Where did you get the idea for this story?

Hi Patricia,
I'm glad you enjoyed the book. Romantically Challenged actually started out as a short story for a writing workshop. It's the chapter where Julie goes on the plane ride in the Cessna. That one was actually a true story (fictionalized now, of course, but I did go on a date with a guy who took me flying in a small plane and we couldn't land at the airport we took off from because of fog). That story was a big hit with the class and I realized that everyone loves to hear other people's bad date stories--and the book was born!
