Hi Lou. I love your series :-) I have two questions for you. 1. Can you please verify the timeline for 'A Shot of J&B' for others that may have or have not read all of the Vasquez & James series? It takes place BEFORE 'Because of Jade', correct? 2. And would it be best if people have at the least read up to 'Finding Jackie' (book 3 in Vasquez & James) to follow the events in the spin-off?

Thank you so much! I have been absent from Goodreads for a while and must have missed the email telling me about questions here! Sorry to be so late on the answer. Yes, A Shot of J&B takes place just after the novella, Yes, which itself takes place about 5 years after the first three books, and 5 years before Because of Jade (both in the Vasquez and James series.) And yes, the reader will meet Jackie for the first time in book 1, Loving Luki Vasquez, and meet Brian in Book 2, Delsyn's Blues, and in book 3 they meet each other. A Shot of J&B does recap that meeting, so the reader can pick it up there and it will work, but they'll get the most out of it if they've read the V&J series, as you say, at least until book 3. Hi Lou I just want to start by saying that I really enjoy your writing style it is absolutely fabulous!! Your "Vasquez & James" series is one of my favorite series of all time I love Sonny Bly James & Luki Vasquez the two main characters but I also love the supporting characters. My questions is is there a plan to make the series in to audio books and If so who would be your choice for narrator? Thank you

Hi Lou, I have devoured this series in a week. I've tried walking away from them to give myself space but it didn't work like that. Now that I've finished Saving Jade, I was wondering where did the inspiration come from to write about these two different culture? Will there be more in the series involving Luki & Sonny as well?
