Take advice. Never think that a passage in your book is too perfect to cut. If your editor says cut, then cut it. There's nothing saying that you can't save it and plop it into another story where it would fit better. Also, never think you've published so much that you can afford to stop learning about the craft. You'll never learn it all in one lifetime.
