E.Michael Helms asked Kat Martin:

Hi, Kat: Do you outline or are you a pantster? I've been traditionally published since 1990 in different genres; currently writing a mystery series. I've always been a "free-wheeler" but am now wondering about outlining. Any thoughts, negative or positive on either? Thanks! --Michael (E. Michael Helms)

Kat Martin Michael—I write a detailed synopsis of the novel—or at least I did up until the past few years. It guides me as the story unfolds. Of course, you need to be flexible, make changes if a better idea comes along. I think the more complex the novel, the more an outline or synopsis becomes. hope that helps. kat
PS: So sorry for the delay
