My first story was about pole vaulting in high school. It's available on my YouTube channel and it will be on the Moth Radio Hour in a couple weeks:

The live audience is great because the feedback is immediate. I love that. But the story is never quite perfect. As I tell it and listen later, I can hear the words and phrases I would change. In a book, I can get the sentences as close to perfect as possible.

Matthew, I just finished Memoirs of an Imaginary Friend (loved it) and I'm halfway through Something Missing (totally enjoying it). I have become aware that you're writing a sequel. I am wondering if you will address what happens to Mrs. Patterson. She is a complex character, obviously troubled, and I know it's fiction, but still, I can't help but wonder: What did you imagine would have happened to her?
