How do you feel about gallows humor? Is it a theme to use in your future writings?

Robert Downs Since I had to look up the term to fully grasp its meaning, that should tell you I don't plan to use it anytime soon in my writing. On the other hand, I do like challenging both my writing and myself, so I won't say I'll never use it.

In order for gallows humor to work for me, though, I'd have to find the right character who looks at death in a lighthearted manner, and I haven't found him or her just yet.
