Goodreads asked Rick H. Drew:

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Rick H. Drew Just after investigating this homicide a well known author who was friends of my brother n law overheard me telling the story. He pulled me aside and advised me that I should write a screen play. Writing a police report was about it for me at the time , so I sat on it for 17 years. I pulled out my case report copies in 2002 and began putting together and outline, after it was complete I gave the rough draft to a lady to read who was in her 70s, she sent it back saying it was incredible and she could not put it down. It was put in a drawer until 2014. I learned quickly that writing a good book meant nothing to agents or publishers, had it not been for createspace it still would be in my drawer.
