Reading always inspires me to write. I don't ever wait to be inspired to write, but I know I'm not reading enough or I'm not reading enough different things if I am not constantly scribbling ideas or sentences or thoughts down. When you develop a good writing discipline you will also be inspired. Watching TV or playing video games rarely provides inspiration... reading always does.
