If I am working within a story and suddenly everything seems at a dead-end, it's because I didn't 'listen' to a character; I did not write what I saw the character doing, I didn't 'hear' what the character said... instead, I simply 'wrote'. I did not observe. That means I forgot one of my most important lessons from my favorite Creative Writing class from many years ago.
