Do you ever get into writing slumps, or experience writer's block? If so, how do you escape its evil clutches unscathed? Thanks, David!

Writing slumps? All the freaking time. I don't often get legitimate writer's block, just slogs where it's hard to maintain enthusiasm and keep my butt in the chair writing as long as I want to. For real blocks, I just skip the segment, and talk about the story with my wife or my friend Rob, bouncing ideas until something feels right.
As for a daily slog? Then I just cheat until I feel less lazy. You'll see stuff like this in my first draft all the time.

Bob Amazingman entered the room, looking .
"So," Bob said, "What's this I hear about a lazy author?"

And then a day or two down the road, or even when finishing the entire manuscript, I'll hunt down all those <>'s and fill them in.

I want to start off by saying that I love your books I found the Shadow Dance series when I was 15 and I've been hooked with your writing ever since following that my favorite character has always been Haern and I'm wondering if he will ever make a reappearance like even as a spirit in like book 8 or 9? Im just curious since as far as I can decipher book 9 might involve Zusa along with her and Haerns child.

Hello David, i just recently finished 'The Broken Pieces' and have now finished the paladins series (best series I've read). However, once i completed the novel i was left wondering whether there was some deeper meaning to this books ending and even for the whole series that was left lurking just outside my understanding? Moreover, do you intentionally put meanings into your books or do they crop up at the end. Thanks

Will you ever make a book with the protagonist one of the werewolves? Like when you did Redclaws perspective but as the protagonist. I feel bad for them. They are just trying to survive. Yeah they kill and eat people but that’s what they got to do. Their hatred of humanity is reasonable considering what they’ve been through.
