Wow...from Alaska to Hawaii. :D I went the "From Alaska to Arizona" route. I only dream of living in Hawaii after visiting so many times. Totally jealous. :D Do you find more inspiration writing in paradise than any other places you've lived?

Courtney Wendleton Dad's a trucker so I've been trough Arizona a time or two...not my cup of tea but not a bad place to be either.

Inspiration ebbs and flows about the same for me, though I do not live in one of the prettier places on the Big Island. I live in an old lava flow area, so it's nothing but dead trees and volcanic rock. The sunsets are still beautiful, but let me tell you, after awhile they become monotonous. Every once in awhile there will be one that sticks out, but that's about it. Now if I was closer to the beach, Pearl Harbor (ultimate personal fantasy), or just in a more lush remind-me-of-home area I think the answer would be different. Only so much inspiration can be drawn from volcanic rock and dead trees.
