How do you deal with writer’s block?

Elisabeth Rose I go through periods where I'm not inspired to write but that's the same for everyone in any profession, I would think. There are days when you just don't feel like work. Too bad! As a writer I'm my own boss so self discipline is the important thing. On days where I'm stuck moving forward in the story I go back and read through to immerse myself in the characters. Often a new idea will emerge, a motivation will become clearer or I see where something needs to be scrapped or altered.
