Thanks! I think it's up to 18 now, plus the book of short fiction, Prickle Moon. Then there's a completed novel not yet published (Tower of Thorns, Book 2 of the Blackthorn & Grim series.)
My first novel, Daughter of the Forest, took three years to write, very much part time, as I was working full time in another job at that stage. DOTF was first published in 1998. So it's 17 years since the publication date, and 20 years since I started writing DOTF. Each of the others has been written in a year or less.

This is the question I wanted to ask. While I was reading Dreamer's Pool I was curious as to why Grim was so accepting of Blackthorn's behaviour towards him. I know that at the end he expresses his feelings about it too her but why does he only display his anger towards others and not her? She doesn't treat him as nicely as the other villagers.
