How do you deal with writer’s block?

Heather M. Miles Golly, that's a tough one because it does happen. Thankfully, not that often. Usually, for me, writer's block occurs when I'm trying to push a story in a direction that doesn't work. In order to get past it, I go back and read the story from a paragraph or two before and find the point where the story goes stale or no longer works and hit the magic button...delete. Often, whole paragraphs are completely obliterated in order to salvage a compelling story.
