Is there anything you regret writing in your stories? Or anything you regret NOT writing?
Sophia Bennett
Hi Sophie. Interesting question! I tend to pour over my books for months, so I'm generally happy with them by the end. I always include lots of themes that I'm passionate about, and I'm pleased to get the chance to share them with my readers. I don't think there's anything I regret writing, apart from maybe one word in Threads, that I wasn't happy with anyway, and that sadly put off some people from recommending it. (Literally one word! Augh!) The ending of The Look was originally slightly different, and I think I still prefer my original version. There was less of a love story element to it, and I liked that. But I also like the little love story I have. As for things I haven't written about ... well, I tend to think that I haven't written about them YET. Hopefully there will be more books, and more opportunities. I still feel as though I have a lot to say.

I've read your book "The Castle". It is a truly fabulous book.
As I am a South-Indian Muslim, I'm very curious to know how you were able to add "South Indian" words like 'maharaja' and 'ayyo' in your writing ?
I'm also surprised to know about your knowledge on Islam (from your book). If you want to know more about Islam please contact me at hibah.khadijah21@gmail.com [Muslims believe in Jesus as messenger of God]

I've read most of your earlier books(Threads series, The Castle, Love song) and I know they were meant for young teenagers. Are you starting to write for a slightly older audience, starting with love song and following Ophelia? P.S. I love your books and hope that I can write like you someday.

Are you planning to turn The Look into a series? I adored it when I read it earlier this year, it was hilarious and had a really compelling plot but was also quite moving. It had me engrossed from page one and after I finished I really wanted to read another book continuing the story but was upset when I found out there wasn't, so I'd love to read a possible book 2 but thank you for creating this wonderful book anyway
