Anything can inspire me...something I see on the news or something going on in my own life, even just being out and about can trigger my need to write. And it is a need...there is a story inside and I want to get it out. The inspiration and the final product sometimes look completely unrelated, but the point is the inspiration started the process of writing. I love it, though it can be emotionally draining.
