Your narrative is so dense and deep. How long did it take you to write this book and do you have a sequel planned?

The novel took me 15 years to complete. I started it not long after graduating from college. As you can imagine, I wrote far more than ended up in the book. The last few years of writing were mostly taken up with cutting things out.
The novel I am working on now isn't a sequel, though it does have some distant interrelation. I've had a few ideas for another book about Leah's family, but that is probably a bit in the future.
