Goodreads asked C.G. Ayling:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

C.G. Ayling While I've read about Writer's Block, it isn't something I believe exists. Indeed it strikes me as just a little bit pretentious. I mean, can you honestly tell me that if I put a pen between your fingers, or a keyboard beneath them, that you cannot form a single letter? Either an "a" or an "I" will do, and just like that the block is broken, you are writing again and you should be asking yourself the question, "How did I ever stop?"

Perhaps the real answer should have been that I'll only know the answer when I encounter the problem.
My writing all comes from something I think of as my heart, as yet it has never stopped beating. Yes, I have times when my heart is so heavy I can't bear the thought of sharing the thoughts it raises. But I still write them down in secret places from which I have no intent to share.
