Goodreads asked G.W. Mitchell:

How do you get inspired to write?

G.W. Mitchell It took quite some time, years perhaps, for me to get up the nerve to write even though the inspiration was there long before. I believe, and for whatever reason, developed a particular way of seeing the world of thought, ideas and language, and needed to express it. So I started documenting. I collected things that came to mind, discussions I had and lectures I gave. They all had the same trend and begged the question "what exists behind the world of appearances? Searching for the answer drives me, in spite of my reluctance, to write.
