Appreciated your review on Meghan Daum. I'd like to catch up on reading Rebecca Solnit. But there are so many of her books now. What do you recommend of hers? Thanks!

Thanks, Carrie. I'm glad you enjoyed it! Rebecca Solnit has so many wonderful books, but I think my favorite (of the ones I've read) has got to be The Faraway Nearby. It elegantly gets to the heart of the human condition. I really can't praise it highly enough. Check it out and let me know if you love it as much as I do!

Also, I cracked up when I saw the title of your book, "Part the Hawser, Limn the Sea" (now on my "to-read" list)...one of the first things that I knew about (the notorious?) Michiko Kakutani was that, according to one critic of her criticism, she used the word "limn" too much! LOL! Be well.
