I am a BIG fan of your books so of course when The Fill-In Boyfriend came out I HAD to read it. While reading, I was surprised at how much I related to Gia. The part where she is talking to Hayden's mom in the car after watching her brothers video about her was like she was in my head. Where did you get the inspiration to write her character?

That makes me so happy that you related to her. I had hoped, when writing her, that she might speak to people. I think that's a little of how I felt as a teen. I got the inspiration not only from my own life but from viewing the lives of those around me who are facing today's challenges.

I love your novels The distance between us and of course On the fence. I love everything about them except they end too soon, abrupt almost. I could see how on the fence would end up but I felt I had too many questions about TDBU. I appreciate the brief tie in you did to tell that Caymen and Xander were still together but I felt a little robbed. Would you ever write a sequel to TDBU?

I just wanted to say that I love your books and have read everyone. I respect you as a writer. And I love how your characters are interesting and realistic and entertaining. Your stories are fun, hilarious, sweet, clean and usually deeper than most YA. I just saw that you have another book coming out next month. That's amazing. How do you finish books that quickly? Keep up the good work!
