Hi Kasie, I have joined Blog tour which is a huge project of czech and slovak bloggers. We ask our favorite authors and than publish their answers on our blogs. So, I have a little question. Were you afraid that you might fail when you started writing? And what do you think about reaction to your books? And secondly, I absolutely love your book The Distance Between Us. Thank you for writing it. :)

Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed TDBU. :) Now, to your questions. Was I afraid of failure? Well, at first, I didn't know how afraid I should be. I didn't realize how hard the industry was. So I kind of wrote my first book in ignorant bliss. But when I tried to query it to agents and received my first rejection letter in 7 minutes, followed by many more, that's when I got a pretty good idea. It was an uphill battle from there. And yes, I was afraid it would never happen.
As for your second question, reader reaction. I've been very happy with the amazing readers out there. I am bit surprised just how much people seem to love my books. I mean, I love them, of course, but I didn't think anyone could match my feelings. So yes, I've been very happy and flattered. :)
